Artist Biography:


Richard Ozanne St Louis Mo B. 1959

An Internationally renowned visual artist whose work has appeared across the country in New York City, Europe, New Zealand and Japan  in juried exhibitions and over 150 appearances and shows.


Richard Ozanne has been an artist-painter since he was a small child, first taking private classes at Chautauqua Institution in 1967. He comes from a family of generations of musicians and artists.


Richard Ozanne has been a part of the Artist in Embassy Program US Dept. of State since 1993 (maintaining a small portfolio of work on their official website for future projects)

As an artist  Ozanne has created an extremely large portfolio of work of more than 2000 works in all media that emphasizes a gifted eclectic facility from most contemporary avant garde.  His methods and materials range from  classical artworks to the most extraordinary including landscapes, portraits and still lifes and abstract conceptual pieces.


In 2006  Richard Ozanne  returned to the United States after a 10 year residency in Europe where he lived, taught and exhibited.

Education:


Mr. Ozanne has his MFA (Master of Fine Art) from Arizona State University (1992) and a BFA from the University of Arizona (82) with post  graduate masters training at some of the nations oldest and most prestigious colleges and masters training. He was a graduate student  at Columbia University under Leon Goldin and Art Students League of New York under David A Leffel, Robert Beverly Hale, Ted Seth Jacobs and other noted teachers of art.  Richard Ozanne an advanced training  inclusive of a Phd in Arts and Humanities (97), done in Prague CZ, for international research in Europe.


Mr. Ozanne is the recipient of many  international awards in the US, UK, Italy and notice in press across the US and Europe. During the year 2006 he was the United States recipient of the "Albo d'Oro -'Senato' of the prestigious Oscar of the Arts, 'Ordine della Michelangelo Buonarroti' at the competition/exhibition in Turin Italy representing noted artists of Europe, South America and other countries the world over. He was the recipient of the award, "Oscar Della Arte" for the United States as a representative of honor by noted Italian Artist Armando Farina, director of Accademia Internazionale Santa Rita (Turin Italy). He was nominated for Knighthood in the Order of Michelangelo for his work by a private group in Italy (06)


During his lifetime he has been nominated as well selected for many awards and inclusion:
